As we approach the auspicious Shahi Snan, the district administration has finalized a robust traffic management plan. To prevent congestion and ensure the safety of devotees, several key arterial roads will be designated as one-way zones or strictly restricted for private vehicle movement starting 24 hours prior to the event.
Designated Parking Zones
To manage the influx of vehicles, the administration has set up four primary parking hubs on the outskirts of the main city:
- Zone A (North): Reserved for buses and large transport carriers.
- Zone B (East): Primary parking for private four-wheelers.
- Zone C (West): Dedicated area for two-wheelers.
- Zone D (VIP/Emergency): Restricted access for authorized vehicles only.
"We urge all pilgrims to follow the signage and cooperate with traffic personnel to ensure a seamless experience for everyone participating in the holy dip," stated the Chief Traffic Officer.
Important Guidelines for Pilgrims
- Use Shuttle Services: Free shuttle services will operate between the parking zones and the bathing ghats every 15 minutes.
- Avoid Restricted Routes: Heavy vehicles are prohibited from entering the inner city radius between 4:00 AM and 10:00 PM on the day of the Snan.
- Stay Informed: Real-time updates will be provided via the local traffic control room and mobile alert systems.
Please plan your commute in advance and prioritize the use of public transport where possible to minimize road congestion.
